Hi all,
My name is Taylor, and I am doing some work experience at Ruttentech technology services, and today I got to join Rob in his Radio Geek segment on ABC radio, and I got to talk about one of my hobbies, creating games. Ever since i started playing computer games, I've thought, Wouldn't it be great if i could make my own games? Creating your own games opens up endless posibilitys, for example the plot, game play, graphics, and genre are all for you to decide on. There is a lot of freedom. So I picked up the basics of game-creating when I was around eight years old. Four years later, the endless possibilities still intrigue me. There are some restrictions, though, and one of the most annoying ones of these is age restriction. I have had to get over many hurdles by pretending to be a 35 year-old man, which gets quite annoying sometimes. One of my biggest projects at the moment is an FPS (First Person Shooter) combind with MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) styled gameplay. So thats MMOFPS (Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter - How do I remember that when I can hardly remember my own passwords...  Huh). On a smaller scale, I am also working on two small TDSs (Top-Down Shooters (Birdseye view)), one called 3016, The Unfrozen War, and the other one called Micro infection (More info below).

On to the next topic I'd like to quickly mention, Social networking sites. Sites like Twitter, Facebook and Myspace are all the go at the moment, proven by massive numbers of registered users (Twitter: 6 million, Myspace and Facebook: 100 Million). I dont really see the use of many of these (personally), but I can understand how it largely benifits people, but with my mobile phone provider, $20 doesn't go far. My mobile internet costs $1.20 per 5 minutes, which sounds fair, but once you are on, the connections are slow, and it takes around five minutes to load the home page! And once you start to download games, pictures and music, money evaporates like water! Soon enough i check out my account balance. "You have a current balance of: 10 cents". Not even enough to send a text. Texting is my main way to communicate. Its fast and generally cheap (Like I am Tongue) .

Games
Here is a few screenies of the games I am working on, you can download and try them if you want to:
