Hi Rob, love your show!

Windows XP - I've lost the file names in thumbnail view (they show up in list view) - only 2 folders affected, but unfortunately they are main folders!

Think I accidentally hit some kind of shortcut (have no idea what!) both times, while actually in the folder!  Shocked

Been into view-folder options & name is definitely ticked in both (tried un-ticking, then re-ticking, but no luck).

In the meantime, I've found some pretty pics to help me determine which sub-folder is which, but it would be really nice to have my names back!  HELP!

Thanks
Ann

Hi Ann,

A quick peek around the interwebs and I found these, which might help you:

Quote
The Shift key toggles files names on and off in Thumbnails view. When you
open Windows Explorer, go to View and ensure that it's set to something
other than Thumbnails, then go to View again and hold down the Shift key as
you select Thumbnails.

Quote
Hold down the shift key when switching to thumbnail view to hide the file
names. Do it again to bring them back.
