Just bought a few items, and I will review them as they arrive.

The first to arrive was a case.  I looked hard for this as I wanted a simple case, with no straps, buckles catches or extra bits.  Essentially it is a leather slip-on case that is smooth on the outside (slips easily into my pocket), it's thin (fits in my pocket without making people stare at my groin) and lastly it's lined with smooth stuff to protect the screen.  I found it on e-bay for around $6 and it came with a screen protector and cleaning cloth. (pic attached)

The case is great - but the stitching is already coming apart.  not a biggie, as I think I can sort it easily with a needle and thread.  Beware of the screen protector... you need to put it on in "ultra clean" environment.  I wasn't dilligent enough and got some specs of dust under the screen cover and now need to get another one.  (no biggie, my fault)

Lastly -the shipping on this particular item is looooong.  It took over 2 weeks to arrive.  The seller warned me, but in the age of instant gratification i was eager!  So if you need it fast, look elsewhere.

On the whole a great option and I am very happy with it Smiley

Quite possibly like yourself, I have ordered a couple of docks from Hong Kong, via Ebay. One for work, and one for the bedside table at home.

When I first purchased my phone, I spend an extra $10 and bought a screen protector straight up. On a previous phone, one inadvertent contact with a set of keys put an unsightly scratch in the screen. Have learned the hard way about clean environments so attaching the protector the Desire was no problem.

One of the docks will come with a protector, battery, and a leather case, so be interesting to see how it compares with RG's.  However, my phone came with a leather wallet, so I may not use to the case, and if this happens, I could well offer it to any other contributors of this forum.

The docks arrived two days apart, and overall a bit over a week for the first to get here from Hong Kong. Not bad.

The docks rely a little too much on the fixed connection that plugs into the phone to support it for my liking, so I will have to watch that I don't snap a connection off through rough removal of the phone from the dock.

Both come with a fixed usb so you charge or sync off your computer, and there is a 240 v adapter with each, that has a standard mini usb for charging off the mains. I found the blue power lamp on the dock a little bright on the first one to arrive, but the second one with that came with the spare battery has an additional indicator for that accessory. On this one though, the blue mains power light is positively up there with search light intensity, and it had to dimmed with black gaffer tape. It still shines thought, but at a more acceptable level.

Still, it's great to have the phone sitting in it's cradle of a night, and on my desk at work during the day. I note that as soon as the phone goes into the work dock, I get an extra two bars or reception, in what is normally an abominable reception area.

I am happy with the slim case that one of the docks came with, despite its obvious cheap manufacture. It will do for the work environment. It has a little pull tab that extracts the phone quickly without risk of accident disconnection due to touching a button or wrong part of the screen while ringing.
