I have just reformatted my computer and reloaded all of my programs (atedious job)
and now my web browser is Telstra Big Pond  Home Internet Explorer
How can I make Microsoft Internet Explorer my browser instead.

Hi John, welcome to Radio Geek.

MY first suggestion would be to stop using Internet Explorer and install Firefox instead. It's more secure, more adaptable and it's great to support competition. Now to answer your question. Smiley

The browser you installed is Internet Explorer but has been branded by Telstra. All this means is that it displays some custom text for the tile bar. I did a quick search around the place and came across this software that can remove the branding for you. I tested the software on a virtual machine and it worked for me. If you don't want to install software to do it you can find instructions on another way to do it here.

One word of advice - be sure to update your web browser ASAP as the version that is on your CD from Bigpond is sure to be out of date!

Yeah go with Firefox. It is fast, easy and secure. Plus there are a heap of optional apps and programs.
